Meet Thunda & Tomato

DJ Thunda Cat

Born deep in the Appalachian Mountains, DJ Thunda Cat was raised on bluegrass, biscuits, and the firm belief that duct tape can fix just about anything. Somewhere along the way, the banjos got a little louder, the bass got a whole lot heavier, and a gay kid from the hills decided to rewrite the playlist.

For more than 27 years, Thunda Cat has been making music, starting in a local band at just 16 years old. Growing up in the Mid Ohio Valley, finding a place to truly belong wasn't always easy. So instead of waiting for an invitation, Thunda Cat decided to throw the party.

Today, every event is built around one simple idea: everyone deserves a place on the dance floor. Whether you're wearing cowboy boots, combat boots, sequins, flannel, or Crocs (we're judging your footwear just a little), you're welcome here.

Andi Roberts

No DJ does it alone. Enter Andi Roberts of Hot Tomato Portraits, best friend, creative co-conspirator, and the wizard behind the immersive set designs. If people walk into one of our events and say, "How on earth did they pull this off?"... that's Andi. If they ask, "Who played that song?"... that's Thunda Cat.

A feminist at heart, she has had a camera in her hand since she was 13. Her super power is getting half clothed women to relax – we aren’t really sure of what happens when you step in front of the camera – but women say they lose their jitters almost instantly.

Together, Thunda & Tomato Events creates immersive experiences that are equal parts Appalachian charm, big-city imagination, and just enough beautiful chaos to keep people talking long after the lights come up. Around here, everyone belongs, everyone's celebrated, and the dance floor doesn't care who you love, how you identify, or where you came from.
